Are we bound by the fate of our blood? Or do we possess it within ourselves to change our destiny? Growing up between families as a child, Dora Blunt is elated when she finally finds a place to call home in the arms of her distant aunt, Grace Blunt. Grace, having forfeit custody of her son Jack after she was deemed unfit to be a mother, views Dora as a way to correct the mistakes of her past - a gift from the heavens themselves. The two grow closer and closer, and it seems to Dora that she finally has found the place she belongs.
